This program is for committed and dedicated U14*, U16, U19 and U21 athletes who want to maximize their training and racing potential in BMRC.
If your athlete is applying for the afternoon program, please review the program description before applying. This form should be filled out by the athlete and parent no later than August 20th.
Those selected will be notified prior to the opening of registration on September 1.
Achievements: Please write below a short synopsis of any and all achievements, primarily in ski racing, but also in any sport and academics that you feel are significant and would like us to take under advisement when looking at applications.
Please write, on no more than the equivalent of one piece of paper, a short essay stating and discussing your personal goals, reasons and motivation for wanting to be in the afternoon program. Racers: please do this yourself!
NOTE: Athlete’s accepted into the Afternoon Program will be required to participate in a formal goal setting process prior to the start of the season and keep a training journal during the season.
Please contact Jeff Jenkins ([email protected]) if you have any questions about this program.
U14: Requirements to be considered will be either: qualifications to State Champs as a 1st year U14, or qualification to Kandahar Champs as a 2nd year U12 in prior season. In the event neither requirement is met, a written application needs to be submitted for acceptance in the program.
I understand my son/daughter is applying for acceptance in the BMRC Afternoon Program (AP). I have read the program description and realize that acceptance into the AP brings with it several responsibilities, including but not limited to, attendance at least 3 of the 4 weekly training sessions for U16, U19, and U21. For U14 athletes, I understand my son/daughter’s attendance is required for all 3 training days. I will use my best efforts to insure my son/daughter meets these requirements if accepted in the AP. Failure to meet this and other requirements may result in non-acceptance in the AP in future years.
